May 06 Short term bachelor party vs. Prom: Battle of the wheels Man, setting up a short notice Bachelor party keeps you hopping! The main challenge for me in getting things set has been prom. Prom weekends run--apparently--from May 10th to May 31st. It's proving to be a huge challenge in setting up Party Buses and Limos for the guys. Right now it's been the biggest challenge by far. The Brazilian BBQ joint we're going to for dinner is reserved and will be a ton of fun. The evening will be a lot of fun, but I'm totally stressing the rides right now. I have one mini-van I can get so far and if it comes down to it, I'm renting some minivans from Enterprise or something. I have calls into some more limo services, but it's not looking good at the moment. Who knew? Other than that, the thing is coming together well. Just want my buddy to have a great evening! P.S. as often happens for me, this completely nuts and busy time in my life has popped some creative projects up to the forefront with inspiration. I've got 3 new ideas to go with. I think this happens to me because my mind is racing over so much and the creative ideas (film, novel, and short story in the case) provide an escape. A mental break if you will. The questions and things keeping me jumping are: will I get laid off? What will work be like after the changes? How long will my dying car last? Should I pay off the water heater in one shot? How am I going to get a limo set up in time? What else to do for the Bachelor party now that dinner's later at night? How much money can I put in the coffers in case I'm out work soon? How to juggle the social calenders? When to study for the new skills? When will the resume be done? When can I work on the site? You get the idea; it's been busy!! Some of it's stressful crazy, some of it's fun crazy. I need a longer clock. |
